6.2 Engage in professional learning and improve practice
I've always believed that we never stop learning. That is why I've come to education as a career. Part of this involved my passion for teaching others to love learning and part is to fulfil my personal learning desires. Part of my development as an educator has involved participating in professional learning to inform and improve my teaching practice. During my post graduate studies, I have attended a range of professional development sessions and found many of them to be valuable to my understanding of Learning & Teaching and beneficial for my growth as an educator. Artifact 1. powerful learning modules & list of professional development sessions attended Artifact 2. Case commentary, demonstrates my ability to be a reflective practitioner and to learn through observation of sound teaching practices. 6.3 Engage with colleagues and improve practice & 6.4 Apply professional learning and improve student learning During my PST placement, I was lucky enough to be invited to a range of professional development sessions. One such PD was a session exploring Developmental rubrics and their link to assessment and curriculum. ACP project involved creating a developmental rubric for the P.E department which linked to the new Victorian Curriculum and encompassed the practical aspects of the P.E program. This process involved collaboration with the H/PE domain leader, the head of student learning my PST colleagues. |
